Evan Khoo, representing Arizona Flames and Perry High, placed second in the boys shot put final with a fifth-round mark of 51-2.75 (15.61m) at the USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships at Sacramento State. Khoo, entering his junior year, also finished second in the hammer throw with a third-round performance of 159-5 (48.60m).
